LifeReach was created by two women who rejected fear and hysteria surrounding anaphylaxis (life-threatening allergic reaction). LifeReach’s mission is saving lives.
Carol Len Frist Portis grew up in a family surrounded by physicians, with innate curiosity and a make-it-happen mentality. She studied health and exercise science in college and later received her MBA. When she married and had children, her second child, a son, was diagnosed with life-threatening allergies. She wanted to find a way to keep him safe, while allowing him to lead a normal life. Carol Len learned everything she could about anaphylaxis, and kept an eye on the future when she could put what she learned to use for the greater good.
Katie 
Lennon always had a passion for education and working with children and families. That’s part of the reason she obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing and furthered her education to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. Katie believes education and preparation are essential nursing skills, but they are also important life skills. So when she discovered her oldest daughter was anaphylactic, she put all of her training, patience and resources into finding a way to keep her daughter safe and yet able to experience life outside a bubble.
